The Pears and Maudsley Centre for Children & Young People will provide high-quality mental health services and facilities for local children and young people, including inpatient, outpatient and crisis care. It will also be a new home for the Bethlem and Maudsley Hospital School and will bring together scientists, clinicians & educational professionals to harness the power of a multi-disciplinary approach to solving challenging clinical questions of national and international significance. Our research will mean that we can understand and develop new interventions more quickly than ever and target prevention approaches, transforming mental health for young people locally and globally. Service users will benefit from pleasant spaces that have been specifically designed with the functions in mind.
